Schoemann stops at Chick-A-Dee’s Family Restaurant in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -The race for governor ran through Eau Claire Tuesday morning.

Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann stopped at Chick-A-Dee’s family restaurant around 9 a.m. to chat with Wisconsinites. The Republican candidate said his campaign is focused on getting government power as close to people as possible by talking with people about issues directly. Schoemann said he heard a variety of concerns from Eau Claire residents.

“You know, people are frustrated with the cost of housing, the cost of utilities obviously leading to a bunch of homelessness here in Eau Claire,” Schoemann said. “I’ve heard it everywhere. Those are things I think where we got to sit down together. That’s not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue, that’s a Wisconsinite issue. That’s a neighbor issue.”
