State Representative Rob Brooks (R – Saukville) issued the following statement regarding his endorsement of Josh Schoemann for Washington County Executive:

“In 2016, Josh Schoemann came to me to discuss an idea to consolidate services in Washington and Ozaukee County with a proposed Health Department merger. Not only did this end up saving both counties a combined $300,000 in the first year, it has improved services for those who rely on it most. Ideas like this and also sharing services in Waukesha County in the Medical Examiner’s Office are the types of innovative reforms that are needed right now throughout the state.

Josh’s conviction and drive for good governance has been impressive to see over the last several years as County Administrator. I hope the citizens in Washington County recognize that while many in the region are calling for ‘more money’ at the local level, leaders like Josh are finding ways to efficiently prioritize the tax dollars they have and continue to advocate for smaller government, shared services, and public safety.”
