Town of Hartford Supervisor Scott Lofy Endorses Josh Schoemann for County Executive

Town of Hartford Supervisor Scott Lofy announced his endorsement of Josh Schoemann for Washington County Excecutive. Scott has long been a respected member of the area’s agricultural industry and has been a strong advocate for the interests of the rural communities that make up the backbone of Washington County.

As our campaign continues to engage voters in every community, our Focus on the People is grounded in giving our rural residents an equal seat at the table regarding the county’s present and future.

Scott provided the following statement regarding his endorsement:

In 2020, Washington County is poised to make its largest organizational change since its formation over 150 years ago. The move to County Executive was something that as a town resident, concerned me. Shortly after announcing, Josh reached out to talk to me personally.

As Town Supervisor for the Town of Hartford, I was encouraged that early on in his campaign he showed concern for the issues facing the more rural areas of our great County. From speaking with him, I believe he is genuine with his belief that towns play an important role in our County and should be looked as as a “partner” for collaboration.

I am supporting Josh Schoemann for County Executive because he is a straight shooter and will serve as a good check and balance on the county board. He is the most experienced and the best-prepared candidate to come to work on his first day in the office and put the people ahead of the politics. I hope you will join me in voting for Josh so he can continue serving the taxpayers in this new capacity.
