WEST BEND, Wis. — Days after Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann filed paperwork to run for governor of Wisconsin in 2026, the 43-year-old made his official announcement to supporters in West Bend Sunday.
“I am officially announcing my run to serve as the next governor of our great state of Wisconsin,” Schoemann said.
Schoemann, an Army National Guard veteran served as county administrator and county manager for six years before being elected to county executive in 2020.
